About Us
Hi, I’m Dani – the face behind Pawprints & Ponytails.
I’m a former police dog handler turned full-time pet care professional, based in beautiful Ayrshire. With a lifelong love for animals, I created Pawprints & Ponytails to offer something a little different – care that’s personal, trustworthy, and tailored to each pet’s unique needs.
From adventurous Sniffari walks to training sessions, pet drop-ins, and even horse care, my goal is simple: to help your pets live their happiest, healthiest lives (while making yours a little easier too).
I know how much your animals mean to you – because mine mean the world to me too. That’s why I treat every dog, cat, and horse like one of my own, with patience, experience, and lots of love.

Kyle
My Fiancé, IT Guru and Chief Ball Thrower
Behind every great adventure is someone quietly keeping the wheels turning. For us, that is Kyle. He is the man behind the screen (and behind me every step of the way).
As the tech brains of the business, he handles all things IT But his talents don’t stop there. He’s an incredible dog and horse dad, a top-tier treat giver, and the reason I smile every single day.
While he usually works his magic behind the scenes, you might spot him joining us on the odd Sniffari – cracking dad jokes, giving fuss and he is the best ball thrower at Pawprints & Ponytails - hands down.
Nala
Nala loves nothing more than to curl up on the cuddle chair and watch the world go by. But when she deems it - she can still keep up with the best of them, Nala is the calm in the chaos, the steady shadow by Kyles side, and the quiet boss of the whole operation. With years of experience and a heart full of loyalty, she leads the pack with gentle confidence (and a side-eye that says “sort yourself out”).
Murphy
Murphy is the life of the party – full of beans, full of charm, and absolutely convinced he’s faster than flight. He can always be identified from his untameable mullet.
He’s clever, cheeky, and listens beautifully… until a bird dares to flap a wing somewhere on the horizon. At that point, all bets (and commands) are off.
He brings endless energy, a constant wagging tail, and a contagious love for adventure
Kyla
Kyla might have the looks of royalty, but she’s not afraid to get her hooves dirty. She’s a rough and ready princess, one minute rolling in the mud, the next strutting her stuff with the most dramatic extended trot you’ve ever seen (for no apparent reason).
She’s completely ruled by her love of treats. Fuss her, feed her, and let her do things her way — she’ll love you forever… or at least until someone else shows up with a better snack
Odin
Odin lives for two things: his ball… and the dramatic flair he brings to every single day. This lovable goofball is a master of the overreaction – whether it’s his hatred of nose boops or the sheer injustice of his ball being temporarily out of reach, or stolen by Murphy.
Odin keeps the team laughing and the chaos going. Just don’t worry about the grumbles - hes just the chattiest boy.
Squishy
Don’t let the name fool you – Squishy is small but mighty. Bursting with personality (and zoomies), she’s our youngest team member and currently learning the ropes.
She’s sharp as a tack, pure chaos on adventures, and has perfected the “who, me?” innocent look when she eventually returns when recalled. Whether she’s shadowing the big dogs or showing off her prancy heel, Squishy is growing into her paws one wild walk at a time
